We left for our honeymoon on the Wednesday after the wedding. Our first stop was the Seychelles Islands just north of Madagascar in the Indian Ocean.

We had a great view of all of the islands. Some islands are very close to each other -- swimming distance -- while others are far from each other. Some of the islands are similiar in size to Catalina. Some are very small -- the size of a house. And they're sprinkled all about the ocean.

We landed on the main island of Mahe and immediately took a puddle jumper to another island Praslin (pronouced Pra'-lah).

We were driven to the L'Archipel resort on the north side of the island. It was a very private, quaint, hospitable, and quiet place. Very Fantasy-Island like. All of the rooms were bungalow-style and nestled individually on a small hillside overlooking our private cove.

Here is a wide-angle of our room. (Click image for larger view.) The staff had left flowers along the trim of the bed filling the room with a pleasant fragrance.

We had our own balcony overlooking the cove... we spent time there relaxing.

Coconuts were everywhere. And they did fall. On the beach you had to be careful not to sit under one.
