Pull up a chair and get comfortable, it was an amazing evening!
Then we got to cut the cake.
Marianne, Claudia's aunt from Davos, had the cake customized. Even though there was a "slight" mishap, the cake came out perfectly and everybody loved it. I wanted to have some the next day, but Stefan and Leticia took care of that for me.
Marianne knows how crazy Claudia is about her golden retriever, Layla. She gave an artist various pictures of Layla. The artist sculpted a little Layla for the cake! Super touch!
It was a very busy evening and although Claudia and I tried to get to all of the tables, we could only manage less than half of them. So I decided to don the Swiss apron and serve deserts, thus giving me some time with each guest. Here I am serving Dickie and Marcella.
It was actually very fun!
Cousin Jason from Chicago and cousin Ann Marie from Ireland.
Verena and Bruno Schneiter.
Bruno's family owns and manages the Sternen Hotel where the guests stayed and where we had our reception. They provided the best dinner of beef, ham, pasta, and other things that I forget at the moment. The guests repeatedly told me how impressed they were by the meal. They were expecting "hotel food," but instead got a great feast! Thank you Schneiter family!
Andy and April Purves from England. Their daughter, Debbie, performed the ballet piece earlier.
Ashok and Corinne. Ashok was kind enough to drive the bus and take all of the out-of-towners from the hotel to the cathedral and back. It was no small effort.
Ashok also took all of the
pictures during the bachelor party. Thanks Ashok!
