Wedding in the Münster Cathedral!
No, I really wasn't nervous. I just wanted to soak in the moment. I could hear the tremendous cathedral bells ringing out the start of the ceremony and I wanted to savor every moment.
The procession starts and I'm looking for Claudia. I'm glad to have Danny at my side. Thanks bro!
Our minister, Marcus (far right in pic), spoke primarily in Swiss German which meant I didn't understand a word of it. That was fine with me. It gave me time to let the entire thing just slowly sink in.
It was an interesting story how my Irish cousin Catherine read the Gospel at the wedding. But too long to put here. I'm glad she did though.
Elisabeth also read during the ceremony. It was a traditional Swiss poem. Ted, Claudia's father, made the effort to translate it (even making it rhyme in English). They say that the English version is better than the original.
After the readings, my Irish cousin Claire sang perched up above us next to the smaller organ.
She sang Gifts of Bread and wine. It was truly one of the highlights of my entire journey. Thank you Claire!
